1. Introduction to Mahudi Jain Temple
Mahudi Jain Temple is located in Mahudi village, Mansa taluka, Gandhinagar district of Gujarat. This temple is about 35 km from Gandhinagar and 70 km from Ahmedabad. The main deity of the temple is Shri Ghantakarna Mahavira, as well as Lord Padmaprabhu (6th Tirthankara of Jainism) is also worshipped. 2. History and Location
Mahudi Jain Temple was established by Jain Acharya Shrimad Budhisagarji Maharaj Saheb in 1917 CE (Vikram Samvat 1974). The temple is new, but the idol of Ghantakarna Mahavir is very old and has such religious power that it gives happiness and peace to the people who have great success.

The main goddess in Mahudi Jain Derasar is Shri Ghantakarna Mahavir. It is believed that Ghantakarna Mahavir protects the devotees, relieves pain and fulfills their desires. The temple also has an idol of Lord Padmaprabhu, the sixth Tirthankara of Jainism, which is installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. 6. Annual Fair (Mahudi Lok Mela)
The Mahudi Lok Mela is organized every year on Kali Chaudas (14th day of Kartika month) in the Mahudi Jain temple. Lakhs of devotees, both Jains and non-Jains, come to visit this fair. The fair is marked by immense prayers, Sukhdi offerings, religious thoughts and blessings. This fair is a very sacred and communal event for the devotees of Jainism, which propagates religious knowledge.

Mahudi Jain temple is easily connected by road. It can be travelled by buses and private vehicles from the state roads. The nearest railway stations are Bijapur and Gandhinagar. It is easily accessible from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad (about 75 km away).
